Andy – CEO
In 2015 Andy was honoured to be offered Approved Delegate of The Australian Skills Quality Authority. This is a tremendous achievement and is a testament to his passion for quality training and assessment services. Andy is a trained Emergency Medical Technician, he has worked in both the public health and private sector. He has co-ordinated medical services at many large events in Queensland including the Big Day Out, Summafieldayze Festival, Gold Coast Show and Good Vibrations festival just to name a few. He holds a Diploma of Emergency Services as well as qualifications in major incident mobile medical response and front-line business management. Andy oversees the running of the RTO and has trained thousands of students both onsite and at our training centres. Students love his jokes and sense of humour.
Ella – Operations Manager
Ella helps co-ordinate the administrative side of the RTO to ensure we are compliant and continue to uphold our high level of standards. To date we have never had any non-compliances at audit! Having completed a Cert IV in Small Business Managment, Ella’s main interests are looking after the ‘back-end’ aspects of the RTO. Ella also provides administration support to Jo, Anna & Shirley to ensure all tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.
Jo – Partnering Manager
Jo is responsible for managing our partnering program. We currently have over 40 partners around Australia and this number is rapidly growing. We offer a personalised and professional partnering program that Jo oversees to ensure our partners are offered the best service in a timely & efficient manner. As partnering manager Jo ensures all of our partners qualifications, currency and professional development are maintained.
Steph – Trainer & Assessor
Steph is a qualified Emergency Medical Technician from the United States. Before moving to Australia Steph was involved in the facilitation of first aid and CPR training with the American Heart Association and other private organisations. Steph uses a very hands on approach to training and uses her past experience to reinforce the skills and knowledge being delivered. Steph joined the Paradise First Aid team in May 2012 and is just as passionate about training as she was on her first day.
Karyn – Trainer & Assessor
Karyn is a qualified Paramedic who has worked for the Queensland Ambulance Service for over 15 years. During her career Karyn has mentored new Paramedics and provided clinical care both on road and to remote mine sites around Queensland. Karyn came on board in April 2010. Her energetic teaching style leaves students confident with their new skills while ensuring they have fun during their training. You are guaranteed never to catch a few z’s with Karyns ‘loud’ training!
Lyn – Trainer & Assessor
Lyn has been teaching first aid for over 10 years and has been with Paradise First Aid since January 2011. She is a volunteer Ambulance Officer with over 25 years’ experience with Queensland Ambulance Service. Lyn has attended hundreds of patients while working in remote areas. Her friendly attitude and passion to teach others encourages her students to ask questions and push themselves to learn more.
Craig – Trainer & Assessor
Craig joined the Paradise First Aid team in 2016. He has been involved in first aid training for a number of years and brings passion and enthusiasm to his training. Craig is a student Paramedic who is in the final stages of his training and will john the state Ambulance service shortly.
Shirley – Business Services Manager
Shirley has recently joined our team at Paradise First Aid as our Business Services Manager. With her previous experience in customer service and business management she is a huge asset to our team. We look forward to taking Paradise First Aid to a new level- watch this space!
Kelly – Partnering Administration
Kelly supports Jo and our network of training partners across Australia by processing course paperwork and issuing certificates in a timely manner.
Keira – Course Co-ordinator
Keira is the main point of contact for our students & clients- she is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. Keira handles all student enquiries and bookings as well as the issuing of certificates for public and on-site courses. On top of all this she also manages all our on site training for our corporate clients. With Keiras bubbly personality nothing is ever too much trouble and she will always go above & beyond to help all of our students and clients.
